ABOUT OUR NATIONAL ORGANIZATION:
· USA Dance was formerly known as the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association (USABDA.)
· It is the largest organization of amateur ballroom dancers in the country, with numerous chapters across the country.
· Nationally, USA Dance is recognized by the US Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the competitive sport of DanceSport.
· Members get a discount to USA Dance parties and also a very nice magazine published by our national organization.
USA Dance promotes Ballroom Dancing in the areas of:
· Competitive Dancing
· Collegiate Dancing
· Social Dancing
SAN DIEGO CHAPTER:
· The San Diego Chapter of USA Dance has a modest number of members compared to many of the other chapters of the national organization.
· We have been holding well attended and very enjoyable monthly social dance parties for many years.
· In the future, we hope to expand our activities to further support local social, college and competitive dancers.
· We welcome and support dancers of all abilities, age groups, singles and couples.
· If you would like to help us serve the dance community, consider being a volunteer!
